Description: Pak Nai is a recognised area of importance for the role it plays in the eco-system of the Pearl River Delta. It houses the city's largest intertidal mudflat, which includes crucial marine habitats such as mangroves, oyster beds and soft shores, and is a primary feeding ground for thousands of birds. It is also one of HK's most important nursery ground for two of our endangered horseshoe crab species.
Plastic Free Seas is partnering with The Nature Conservancy for a shoreline and mudflat cleanup in this key hot-spot for biodiversity. This cleanup is open to adults and children aged 9 and up. It includes a fascinating 20-minute biodiversity talk (Eng) about the area and an exploration of endangered wildlife. 9 to 13 year-olds must be accompanied by an adult.
* Note: this event requires you to walk in the mud.
What to bring and wear:
Plenty of water in a reusable bottle
Waterproof booties (size EU 35-45 are available for borrowing) or sneakers you don't mind getting muddy
Sportswear like leggings or long, athletic pants

Towel for wiping off mud
Change of clothing (if desired)
Raincoat (if raining)
