Description
「香港視網膜病變協會（Retina Hong Kong）」，是視網膜退化病患者組成的病人自助組織，成立於1995年3月，原名“香港視網膜色素病變人士協會有限公司”（Hong Kong Retinitis Pigmentosa Society Limited）是依據香港《公司條例》第32章和《稅務條例》第88條註冊成立的非牟利病人互助慈善團體。於2002年更名為「香港視網膜病變協會」主力服務因遺傳以致患上同類型致盲眼疾的人士。
本會主要經費來源是籌款，以及向政府部門和各基金會申請項目撥款。
宗旨﹕
1. 幫助視網膜病變患者及其家人認識疾病的本質，發掘患者的潛能，使他們增強自立和自信，積極地克服生活、學習和工作中的困難。
2. 教育公眾了解視網膜病變患者及其家人的困難和需要，鼓勵和推動患者融入社會，為患者爭取各項適當權益。
3. 促進本港及世界各地傷殘人士組織的溝通、諮詢和合作。
4. 收集和提供有關視網膜病變的研究、癒後、治療和預防的訊息，研究會員對助視器材的需要，為他們提供使用適當器材的資訊。
5. 支持和協助有關查明視網膜病變病因、治療和預防這種病變的各類研究。
