The Hand in Hand Association, founded by patient families (病人自助組織), aims to support children with physical disabilities (characterized by missing fingers or hands) in building their confidence and bright futures. Our children often face various challenges, both physical and emotional. Missing fingers or hands can affect their daily activities, choice of hobbies (including canoeing, which can be particularly difficult with one hand), and self-esteem.On this canoeing day, Mr. Derek Ko, a one-handed multiple medalist, will teach the children canoeing skills. The day will include specific canoeing challenges designed to boost the children's confidence and showcase their remarkable abilities. We will provide a clear outline of the day's schedule, activities, and objectives, so our volunteer will know what to expect. We also have a dedicated group chat for volunteers to ask questions and share experiences before and during the event.
