Description
Description:
Volunteers will support various aspects of the operations for the iGen Concert. As part of the Jockey Club iGen Wellness with Harmonica programme, the concert is organised by Mighty Oaks and made possible by the funding from Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.
The Concert celebrates the learning journeys of older adult participants in harmonica classes. This event offers them an opportunity to perform, sharing their experiences and highlighting the impact of their participation.
Join them for an afternoon filled with inspiring performances, heartwarming stories, and a demonstration of how they're building bridges between generations within our community!
Volunteer Roles:
Welcoming & Guiding: Greet participants upon arrival and guide them efficiently and courteously to their respective seating areas.
Event Support: You will assist with various logistical needs, including supporting photo-taking opportunities, directing flow, and ensuring the smooth passing of props during the concert.
Special Assistance: You will involve safely guiding our elderly performers and participants. This includes escorting them to and from locations such as the rehearsal room, dining venue, stage, and their seating areas, prioritizing their comfort and safety.
General Assistance: Be prepared to offer general help and directions as needed throughout the event.
Remarks:
Lunch is provided for the volunteers.
Volunteers are asked to attend a mandatory Zoom briefing on August 18th or 19th, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. You may join either session. In the briefing, the division of labor and specific tasks will be explained and clarified. The Zoom link will be sent to registered volunteers via email closer to the date.
All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you on this activity, they must first register with Hands On and sign up for the activity.
