This Summer! Become a Birdwatching Trainee with Ethnic Minority Kids!
Social Career invites the founder of "City Bird Neighbors," a professional birdwatching guide, to share bird knowledge, explore the relationship between community and nature, and promote living alongside birds.
We need volunteer friends to attend an online briefing in advance and, on the service day, assist in caring for participating elementary students, learning ecological knowledge together, and engaging with them through birdwatching and drawing to make the experience more immersive.
Online Briefing Date: August 6, 2025, 2:00 PM (approx. 30 minutes, or available for later online review)
Service Date: August 8, 2025
Service Location: Kowloon Park
Meeting Time: 9:15 AM
Dismissal Time: 1:00 PM
Volunteer Duties:
- Communicate with ethnic minority children in English or Cantonese as appropriate.
- Instruction Support: Assist in explaining birdwatching guidelines and reference images.
- Team Assistance: Help children in groups find birds during the guided tour.
- Tour Support: Assist in maintaining discipline or handling unexpected situations.
- Drawing Session: Guide participants in drawing activities based on guidelines, encouraging creativity and imagination in their artwork.
