Serve-a-thon: Enjoy an outing with the elderly

Description: Volunteers will accompany a group of the elderly and their carers to explore the Hong Kong community outside their neighbourhood. The elderly centre hopes that the elderly can enjoy a good day out and build social connections with the volunteers. Volunteer Roles: 1. Volunteers will first gather at the centres in Kwun Tong (Choi Fook Estate and Shun Lee Estate respectively) to receive a short briefing. 2. Volunteers will accompany the elderly and take the coach to visit the Peak Galleria. Volunteers will help with take care of the participants and take photos. 3. Volunteers will then accompany the elderly to enjoy a lunch buffet and then enjoy a fun time at Cup Noodles Museum Hong Kong together. 4. Volunteers will accompany the elderly to take the coach back to the centres in Kwun Tong (Choi Fook Estate and Shun Lee Estate respectively). 5. Volunteers have to push the wheelchairs for the elderly if needed. Remarks: All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you in this activity, they must first register with HandsOn and sign up for the activity.
