Accompany the elderly for a bowling activity in Kai Tak

Description: We warmly invite you to join a meaningful intergenerational activity that brings together volunteers and elderly participants for a day of fun, connection, and shared joy. This event offers a delightful opportunity for different generations to connect through the lively sport of bowling, followed by a relaxed lunch together. Bowling is an inclusive and enjoyable activity suitable for all ages and abilities. To ensure every elderly participant has a smooth, safe, and positive experience, we will have professional coaches on-site to provide patient guidance and teach basic techniques. Additionally, specialized bowling aids and equipment will be available for those who need extra support, and volunteers will be there to offer one-on-one encouragement and assistance throughout the session. After the bowling session, we will head to a nearby restaurant in small groups for a hearty lunch, where conversations can continue in a comfortable setting. This shared meal is often one of the most cherished parts of the day, strengthening bonds between volunteers and the elderly. Volunteer Roles: Accompany and support your assigned elderly participants. Help them feel confident and comfortable, celebrate their successes, and ensure their safety and enjoyment at all times. Join the elderly participants for lunch to continue the conversation and create a warm, friendly atmosphere over a meal. Remarks: We warmly welcome families to join the activity together. However, each family is limited to a maximum of 2 participants. Lunch will be fully provided, so volunteers do not need to pay for the meal. A detailed PDF with all event information will be sent to registered participants prior to the event. All volunteers attending this activity must be officially registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to bring a friend or family member, they must also register with HandsOn Hong Kong and sign up for this specific activity. This activity welcomes families to sign up.The guardian should sign up to this activity (after registering with HandsOn Hong Kong) and then (1) sign up your child to the activity (after registering with HandsOn Hong Kong) or (2) send an email to hohk@handsonhongkong.org. Please note the minimum age for a child to join is above 6.
