Description: Every week, YWAM Tuen Mun reaches out to an interim housing estate in Tuen Mun. This estate is made up of families and individuals that have applied for public housing, but have not had their applications approved. Many of the people living in this estate are in great need of food assistance and the supplies of daily necessities.
Volunteer roles:
Help set up/pack up.
Distribute the food and goods to residents in an interim housing estate in Tuen Mun.
Make special announcements to the recipients.
Chat and cultivate relationships with the recipients, which is an excellent chance for one-on-one conversations and a better understanding of their situation.
All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you on this activity, they must first register with Hands On and sign up for the activity.
