Description
Program Description: Urban Oasis, managed by the Christian Family Service Centre (CFSC), is a sprawling 45,000 sq. ft. community garden dedicated to fostering urban agriculture, green living, and community engagement. This vibrant space offers the public a unique opportunity to engage in farming and participate in a variety of horticultural activities that contribute to improved mental and physical well-being. Volunteers will join us in the essential task of maintaining and enhancing the garden's facilities.
Volunteer Roles:
Help rejuvenate a sprawling 45,000 sq. ft. garden dedicated to urban agriculture, sustainability, and community connections.
Volunteers will undertake key tasks such as building garden beds, weeding, pond cleaning, and seasonal harvesting to maintain and enhance this vibrant green space.
Your outdoor efforts will ensure the garden remains a thriving sanctuary where people of all ages can connect with nature and foster a sense of community.
Service Location:
2A Kwun Tong Road, Kwun Tong (10-15 mins walk from Choi Hung or Kai Tak MTR station)
Remarks:
Heavy lifting and other physical work are involved.
All volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you, they must first register with HandsOn and sign up for the activity.
