Description

香港撒瑪利亞防止自殺會(The Samaritan Befrienders Hong Kong) 於一九六零年成立。原名「防止自殺會」，是亞洲同類組織的首創。於一九六三年十月在香港作社團註冊，後改名為「香港撒瑪利亞防止自殺會」，並於一九九四年轉為公司註冊。本會為香港土生土長，並且全部由義工組成的志願服務機構。目的是向絕望及瀕臨困境人士伸出同情之手，予以扶持及適當的情緒舒緩，達致助人自助的目標。本會義工服務多元化，主要包括熱線、探訪、面談、電郵和網上即時對話等。我們透過上述形式與求助者解決情緒或內心的困擾。
