Description
Social impact assessment (SIA) in primary care is a systematic evaluation of how healthcare services influence individuals and communities' social well-being beyond clinical outcomes. It examines the broader effects on social determinants of health and guides resources allocation to promote health equity. Recognizing this importance, Health In Action is excited to offer a comprehensive 50-hour “Social Impact in Primary Care Boot Camp” to equip participants with knowledge and skills needed to conduct meaningful social impact assessments. The boot camp will be divided into three parts: Part 1: A 6-hour session on innovative social impact assessment training, which will include: (i) Site visit and Health In Action services introduction (ii) Learn SIA through our organisation's SIA examples and get introduced to various stakeholders involved (iii) Study commonly used methods, tools and teachniques used for SIA Part 2: A 43-hour of practical experiences, including (i) Participation in telephone interviews to collect data; (ii) Conduct focus group interview with 10-12 individuals related to the SIA (iii) Prepare interview summary; (4) Collect and analyse the gathered data (iv) Collect and analyse the gathered data Part 3: A 1-hour gathering with our founder, Dr. Fan Ning, who will share the development of our organisation and his experiences and challenges working in the primary care settings
