Help Out at the Food Donation Sorting Warehouse

Description: Fight food waste and hunger by sorting, packing and preparing essential supplies for under-resourced communities. Volunteers will spend 2–2.5 hours at our warehouse sorting food donations collected from airports and supermarkets, directly helping to rescue surplus food that would otherwise end up in landfills. By efficiently sorting, quality-checking, and packing these vital donations, you instantly transform potential waste into nourishment. You will bring an immediate and positive impact to our community. Get ready for a session that makes a real difference. Volunteer Roles: Check the quality of all food items, including inspecting packaging for damage and ensuring overall product integrity and safety. Sort the food into specific categories, readying it for packing. Pack the food into standard distribution boxes or parcels, ensuring they are securely sealed and labelled. Remark: Volunteers who attend this activity must be registered with HandsOn Hong Kong. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you, they must first register with Hands On and sign up separately.
