Description
Scout for gently used children's books. Visionary Bees is looking for enthusiastic Book Scouting Volunteers to help us source high-quality, pre-loved children's books for our upcoming fundraising book fair. Your mission is to find, vet, and collect books from your own shelves, family, friends, or local neighbourhood networks that are in excellent condition and ready for a new home. Check Quality: Ensure they have no torn pages, heavy stains, or writing inside. Add a beautiful foredge painting (a design painted onto the closed edges of the book pages) to make them unique collector's items for our fundraiser

- For this project, volunteers will help turn donated children's books into unique, painted collector's items to power social inclusion and fundraise for our programs. Help Visionary Bees source and transform children’s books into beautiful, hand-painted collector's items! One you've collected the books, we will invite you to to our upcoming group painting workshop! We will provide all the painting materials, teach you the art of foredge painting, and create beautiful collector's pieces together.
