Description
Female self-defense instructors to teach deaf mothers with safety skills. Jun 11/ 18/ 25 (one Wednesday in Jun), 10:30am-12:30pm. Lead a 2-hour indoor self-defense workshop for 12 deaf mothers. Guide participants through various self-defense scenarios, including those in public transport, narrow alleys, and challenging interactions with friends or partners. Instruct participants on the safe and effective use of a tactical wrench for self-protection, emphasizing its role in creating distance and opportunity for escape. Foster a supportive and confidence-building environment, incorporating elements of psychological resilience and post-incident strategies. Ensure a safe learning environment during all practical exercises, closely monitoring participants' interactions and use of the tactical wrench

  • CODA HKis seeking passionate and skilled female volunteer self-defense instructors to empower deaf mothers with vital safety skills.We need dedicated female instructors to teach self-defense techniques, focusing on non-verbal communication and the use of a tactical wrench, to a group of deaf mothers. Children's foam mats for the indoor venue and individual tactical wrenches for each participant (plus spares).Venue booking and setup (including the provision of writing boards and markers for communication), as well as coordination with participants.A dedicated Hong Kong Sign Language interpreter will be present throughout the entire workshop to facilitate seamless communication between the instructor and the deaf mothers.Assistance with participant registration, pre-workshop communication, and post-workshop feedback collection.
