Description
Experienced professionals with 5+ years of work experience to mentor and support young people in their career and personal development. Guide and support volunteers in their career and professional development. Help build confidence by sharing professional experience and supporting volunteers to set proactive and achievable goals. Encourage the development of innovative ideas, a growth mindset, and actionable plans to give back to the community. Support volunteers in expanding their professional networks and, where appropriate, introduce industry exposure opportunities. Depending on the number of mentees assigned, may require minimum 3 days per week. Each mentor will be paired with a maximum of 3 volunteers at one time (college students, fresh graduates, or experienced individuals). Mentor is encouraged to meet their mentees in person on a regular basis (Other meeting formats may be considered if face to face meetings are not feasible or practical). This appointment will initially be for a six-month period and may be renewed subject to organisational needs

It will be most beneficial to those they are preparing for their next steps in careers.At Crossroads, we value empathy and respect for people from all walks of life. We look for individuals who are proactive, eager to learn, and bring a positive attitude to their work. Reliability and integrity are essential, especially when handling information or supporting others. Most importantly, we seek individuals who are service-oriented and share our passion for making a meaningful difference in the community. We will provide mentoring skill training and ongoing support via a mentor community group.
