Summer Pop-up Shop: The environmental charity Redress will be running a secondhand pop-up shop to resell a small portion of the unwanted clothes collected from the community to contribute to the circular economy in Hong Kong and reduce the amount of clothing waste going to landfill.
What You Will Be Doing:
1. In the back-of-house area:
- Hanging, ironing and steaming clothes
- Organising clothes on different rails
2. On the shop floor:
- Replenishing and tidying up the shop floor
- Welcoming customers and direct them to the different areas of the shop
Remarks:
1. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age
2. Please dress casually with closed-toe shoes and bring your own bottle of water
3. Please make sure to dress all black, easier to recognise your role
4. Redress staff may take photos to record the activity for the purpose of sharing and promoting the charity's work. Please inform a staff member on-site if you are uncomfortable with being photographed.
5. After their slot is completed, all volunteers benefit from a 10% discount at the pop-up shop (during opening hours)
