Description
Built on Christian values, CantoGather aims to create an inclusive community through Cantonese and multicultural education. We're looking for passionate volunteer tutors to make a difference for non-Chinese-speaking primary school students.
As a volunteer tutor, here's what you'll be doing:
1) Attend two teaching workshops:
- Teaching Workshop 1: 5 September 2026 (Saturday)
- Teaching Workshop 2: 12 September 2026 (Saturday)
2) Visit a local school once a week from September to November/December, teaching Cantonese in small groups (1:1–5). You can choose from the following time slots:
[Each tutor will only be assigned to one school's time slot; class schedule: https://bit.ly/teachingtimetable]
3) Adapt your teaching activities to fit your students' needs and progress
4) Participate in at least one intercultural competence training activity
A travel allowance will be provided at the end of the term, subject to meeting attendance requirements ☺️
Here's a quick look at our three-step selection process:
1) We'll review your application and arrange an online interview
2) If your interview is successful, we'll reach out to your references via email for a background check
3) Once everything checks out, we'll officially invite you to join our team! 😁🧡
