Remarks
- The "Empowered Mothers Yoga Workshop" aims to support and enhance the well-being of deaf mothers through the therapeutic practice of yoga. This project arose from the recognition of the unique challenges faced by mothers in the deaf community, who often experience isolation and may lack access to wellness resources that are inclusive and tailored to their needs. To help the volunteer yoga instructor get started effectively, we provide a range of resources and support tailored to ensure both their success and the success of the "Empowered Mothers Yoga Workshop." Here are the key resources available:Sign Language Resources: Access to video tutorials or materials that cover key yoga-related vocabulary in sign language to aid effective communication during sessions.Interpreter Coordination: Assistance in organizing scheduled sign language interpreters for classes, if needed, to ensure full accessibility for all participants.Yoga Props and Equipment: Availability of mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, and other yoga props that can be borrowed for classes to accommodate participants at various skill levels.
