Description
Our computer refurbishment programme helps give donated computer equipment a second life by preparing devices for distribution to people and communities in need. Through this work, volunteers contribute to digital inclusion while helping reduce electronic waste and supporting environmental sustainability. What we need: -Receiving and sorting incoming donations of Computer and parts, undertaking quality control and categorizing items. -Packing items ready for shipment, with accurate inventory lists. -Supervising short term volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. -Cleaning, testing and reformatting computers. -A minimum commitment of 6 months, volunteering 2 day(s) a week is required for this role. -Refurbishing and testing hardware (Computer hardware servicing skills required). -There will be some heavy lifting required (help from other volunteers available) A minimum commitment of 6 months, volunteering 2 days per week, is required for this role. The schedule is flexible depending on the availability of the volunteer. Prior computer hardware servicing experience is required. Additional training and guidance can be provided to help volunteers become familiar with our processes and procedures. If you would like to use your technical skills to test and prepare donated computer devices for distribution while supporting and supervising volunteers, we would love to hear from you!
