This full-day workshop gives you practical, hands-on experience in organic gardening. You’ll learn the principles of eco-friendly growing and how to care for plants in city spaces–as well as connecting with fellow volunteers passionate about greening our community. Morning session: Foundation & planting Organic Farming Basics: Principles of eco-friendly growing.Soil Health: Explore soil texture and practice custom soil mixing.Seedling Planting: Select and plant your choice of herb or vegetable.Afternoon session: Workshop & hands-on practice Daily Plant Care: Simple guides on light needs, correct watering habits, and organic plant food.Pruning Skills: Learn how and where to cut back your plants to keep them full, healthy, and productive. DIY Eco-Pest Control: Make your own natural pest spray and organic plant enzyme to take home. Indoor vs. outdoor gardening techniques for urban homes.
